I attended my first Stampin' Up! workshop out of politeness for a friend. I had heard we would be making cards and I thought it sounded like fun. I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of product in the Idea Book and just randomly purchased a stamp set to be nice. This workshop was the first in a string of workshops that my other friends booked. I think what did it for me was learning how to emboss and realizing that I could use stamps to embellish my scrapbook pages. Several workshops later it was my turn to host and I was totally hooked on stamps and the quality of SU! cardstock. I had studied my personal Idea Book from front to back and actually felt that I knew it's contents and product offering better than the demo that had been doing our workshops. My family began asking me to show them how to make cards, so I talked my husband into letting me purchase the starter kit for its great value, and the rest is history!
I enjoy seeing people discover creatity that they never knew existed in themselves, and seeing how each person at a workshop creates a unique card - even though I give everyone the same supplies and directions.
